Mikoto Nakadai was a kid with a pretty shitty childhood. Sure, he was a kid genius who could master every skill, ace every exam and generally succeed at everything he tried his hand at, but unfortunately he spent his life surrounded by the worst kind of people in whatever given area he was in had to offer. Not by choice, mind you, they simply seemed to gravitate towards him for whatever reason(and even he to them, sometimes, despite not wanting to) so he never experienced any meaningful or lasting relations with kindhearted or good people. This caused him to grow up with a general dislike for humanity as a whole, because good people could never reach out to him, yet the scum and dregs of the population always entered and exited his life against his own will, causing him to grow distant and cold from everyone around him. He grew up without any real social skills or empathy, basically anything you learn from dealing with people from a young age and up, so while he might not seem it at first the emotional and social side of him was and very much still is stunted, having been from a very young age.

Anyway, angsty childhood backgrounds aside, remember when I said he was a kid genius? He used these mad skillz of his to enroll in medical school at the age of ten and come out of it the world's greatest doctor. Yeah this is starting to sound like bullshit already but bear with me. Once he graduated, he just...did what every other person does. Got a job, got a home, went to work, came home, went to work, came home. His life was never challenging because of how skilled he was, so he became bored with the monotony of everyday life, but found no way to break free of it because of every path leading down the same road. In a world of normality, when you've reached not only your own limits but risen above the limits of everybody surrounding you as well, you have nothing to live for. He had nothing to gain from associating with his co-workers, nor did he find his job at all fulfilling. This all changed when the fire nation attacked when the evoliens attacked no wait the evoliens did attack never mind.

They arrive on Earth on a giant battleship, sending three giant robot dinosaurs to the surface below in order to wreck the shit outta Tokyo. Mikoto actually gets a thrill out of seeing them fuck shit up, since it's entirely different from the normality of the world. The limits of humanity weren't all there was to life anymore, something he was excited by the idea of. He follows the attacking robots, known as the Blastosaurs, but is disappointed to see the series main protagonists the Abarangers show up and pacify the great beasts, befriending them and using them to destroy the attacking evolien warship. Disheartened by the display, he's about to leave when a fragment of the warship crashes nearby, housing a mysterious device and an egg. He takes both, using the device to transform in a manner similar to the Abarangers and training until he perfected his use of the device, known as the Dino Minder. He decides his newfound power would be used to fight the Abarangers, since they're the only ones like him in the world; special, powerful and interesting.

So basically he becomes this complete dick through the whole series and pits people in his games which involves shit like "save your friends before the time limit or they'll explode and die", "save your friends before they melt and die", "beat me or die", etc etc. At one point he even strolls into the actual series antagonists' base and tells them he's going to be their new leader. When they try to oppose his new leadership, he kills like half of them effortlessly and tells the rest to sit the fuck down unless they want to die too. He then uses their resources to make his "games" even more interesting, since he now has access to everything they own. They actually go from useless to productive once he takes charge, so it's not all bad, if you ignore the fact if he got bored at any time he'd probably have murdered all of them.

Eventually shit gets real as the dormant god of the evoliens, Dezmuzoria, becomes a little more active than usual. Still trapped within a host body however, he's not at full strength, so his attacks can't really harm Mikoto and he ends up bitchslapping him dormant again. However, eventually Dezmuzoria awakens fully and tries to bring his endless reign of despair upon the world. But the remainder of the plot doesn't really matter, except for one crucial bit of information regarding Dezmuzoria's past.

Originally, the evoliens arrived on Earth with their god inside of a Meteor, the one that presumably wiped out the dinosaurs. However, in truth, the meteor split Earth into two parallel Earths - one where the dinosaurs remained the superior species, Dino-Earth, and our world, where they no longer existed. When the world was split, their god split as well, one half remaining dormant within a host on Dino-earth and one remaining within a host on regular old Earth. DO YOU SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING YET? Whenever a host died, the dormant half of Dezmozoria passed on to their descendent. STILL NOT GETTING IT? And the dormant half of the god dwelling on either Earth is what caused Famine and War to break out as it's host caused destruction wherever they went C'MON GUYS IT'S SCREAMING RIGHT IN YOUR FACE Mikoto is the regular Earth's host for Dezmozoria ok there I fuckin' said it c'mon.

Being the host for Demozoria completely set up Mikoto's life for what it was; it made him brilliant, gave him power and intelligence beyond any human before him ever had (even as a human, he's far above the physical aptitudes of most people, able to trade blows with one of the fully morphed abarangers for about eight seconds before deciding to transform to continue the fight.) but it gave him an evil heart. It dulled out the words of the kind and the good, while forcing Mikoto to subconsciously surround himself with the cruel instead, because Dezmozoria thrived on negative emotion, even while dormant. It not only influenced him into the person he is, but shaped his entire life to be the way it is today. He wasn't having any of that shit, so he purged himself of the half of Dezmozoria within him, flew into space on his giant robot and exploded, the end.
